Welcome to the online HQ for Shauna's Ottawa GAFE Summit 2014 workshop!
This workshop will be taking place at GAFE Ottawa on Saturday, October 4th from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
A group of 29 grade 5/6 students and their teacher were the fortunate recipients of EdTechTeam’s geneous “Put Devices in the Hands of Students” 1:1 Chromebook grant in early 2014. Using the SAMR model, teacher and students redefined their learning and effectively used these devices every day, modelling tech integration to their peers (staff and students). If you want to learn about how to implement individual devices on a daily basis, come to this hands on session and participate in “A Day in the Life of a 1:1 Classroom”. Learn about easy, practical ways to lead your students in inquiry, discovery and find ways to communicate learning to authentic audiences. From planning to roll out to implementation to evaluation, learn about ways for students to personalize their learning using technology.
